Hello! If you agree we would start with your presentation to our fans. Can you tell us who you are and what you do?
My name is Lacy Von Voorhees. I'm a cosplayer, model and makeup artist.

How does it feel to have the affection of thousands of fans around the world?
It is very gratifying to know people from all around the working are following my work. The positive feedback I receive on my posts is very inspiring.

How did you get started in the world of Cosplay? How long have you been in this hobby?
I've always been a bit of an anime nerd. It was about 6 years ago when I went to my first convention which was NYCC. I had seen cosplay photos online and photos of conventions so I decided to just cosplay Babydoll from Sucker Punch and go. And since that day forward cosplay has been a huge hobby of mine

Siempre he sido un poco un nerd de anime. Fue hace aproximadamente 6 años cuando fui a mi primera convención que era NYCC. Había visto cosplay fotos en línea y fotos de convenciones así que decidí cosplay Babydoll de Sucker Punch e ir. Y desde ese día cosplay delantero ha sido una gran afición mía.
Is there any or other cosplayer you admire?
There are so many talented cosplayers it's hard to choose just one. I follow tons of cosplay pages so I'm constantly seeing new work from cosplayers around the world.

What would you say to the girls who want to cosplay , but dare not because of embarrassment or they do not feel beautiful ?
I think cosplay is a great confidence booster for those girls that are a bit shy or don't have the best self esteem. I feel like getting into a cosplay of a character you identify with gives you the chance to walk around and feel like a "super hero" for the day. So my advice is to just get out there in costume, because it truly will make you feel more confident in yourself.
¿Qué le dirías a las chicas que quieren cosplay, pero no se atreven a causa de vergüenza o no se sienten hermosas?
Creo que el cosplay es un gran refuerzo de confianza para las chicas que son un poco tímidas o no tienen la mejor autoestima. Me siento como entrar en un cosplay de un personaje con el que te identificas te da la oportunidad de caminar y sentirte como un "superhéroe" para el día. Así que mi consejo es simplemente salir ahí con disfraz, porque realmente te hará sentir más confiado en ti mismo.
What advice would you give to all those people who do cosplay for fear of 'what people say'?
Generally the cosplay community is very supportive. Yes there will always be that one "rude" person no matter where you go in life. But for the most part we're all just a bunch of nerds looking to have fun and will help another cosplayer out.
¿Qué consejo le daría a todas aquellas personas que hacen cosplay por temor a 'lo que dicen las personas'?
En general, la comunidad de cosplay es muy solidaria. Sí, siempre habrá una persona "grosera" no importa donde vayas en la vida. Pero en su mayor parte todos somos sólo un puñado de nerds que buscan divertirse y ayudar a otro cosplayer.
Do you do the cosplays all by yourself or you buy them? Some of them seem to really have a lot of work. There is someone to help you do?
Yes to all 3 questions. I have cosplay's I made by myself. I have 2 cosplays that I did buy. Also, my mother is a seamstress and always willing to help out.

When did you discover you liked cosplay?
About 7 years ago when I began seeing cosplay photography on tumblr.

What is the most complex cosplay you've done so far?
Probably my blue rose cosplay. There was a lot of little details and trial and error with the accessories. After having worn it once to a con I decided there are a lot of things I'm going to redo on the costume.

What do you think about the criticism about the sexualization of your cosplays?
Many female characters in anime, gaming and comics are styled very sexy. I say if you're comfortable to wear the costume more power to you. People will always have something to say no matter if it's sexy or conservative. May as well just be happy and push the haters to the side.
¿Qué piensas de las críticas sobre la sexualización de tus cosplays?
Muchos personajes femeninos en anime, juegos y cómics se llaman muy sexy. Digo que si te sientes cómodo para llevar el traje más poder para ti. La gente siempre tendrá algo que decir, no importa si es sexy o conservadora. Puede también ser feliz y empujar a los enemigos a un lado.
What are your favorite materials to work and what are the most difficult? You have a story you want to share with us?
Not sure that I can choose one favorite material. But I do need a lot more practice with Worbla. I accidentally burned myself a little with the heat gun when I was making my head wings for my Morrigan cosplay.

What about makeup and hair? We must take a long time to prepare, right?
As a licensed professional in hair and makeup this part is very fun for me. While certain looks do take more time I enjoy every bit of it. Makeup is truly an art and it's so much fun to be able to transform yourself in to real life versions of your favorite characters.

Como profesional con licencia en el cabello y maquillaje esta parte es muy divertida para mí. Mientras que ciertas miradas tardan más tiempo disfruto cada pedacito de ella. El maquillaje es realmente un arte y es muy divertido poder transformarse en versiones de la vida real de sus personajes favoritos.
